Big blow to AAP government: Mohali Court bars Vigilance from further raids on properties of Bikram Majithia

Orders Vigilance to inform Majithia’s Counsel Arshdeep Kler in advance before visiting properties for valuation

Court has summoned video graphic evidence: Kler

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, July 15, 2025:
Bhagwant Mann led AAP government suffered a big blow on Tuesday when a Mohali court barred Vigilance Bureau from conducting any raid on premises of former Minister and Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia and directed it to inform Majithia’s counsel Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler in advance before visiting premises only for evaluation purpose.
This was disclosed by Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler while talking to media outside court premises here today. He disclosed that Court had allowed Investigation Officer (IO) of the case to visit premises of Majithia. He said that today morning instead of himself visiting premises sent teams of Vigilance Bureau to three different locations in Delhi, Amritsar and Majitha and this news was shared with media only to make it a media trial. He said that we immediately informed the court about illegal raids and court ordered immediate stopping of these raids.
Kler said that Court had categorically made it clear that Vigilance cannot raid premises of Majithia anymore. He said that Court has made it clear that Vigilance can visit his premises only for evaluation purpose and for this too they will have to give a notice to Majithia’s counsel Arshdeep Singh Kler 24 hours in advance. He said that evaluation can only be done of properties or seizures mentioned in Fard Jama Talashi.
Responding to media queries, Advocate Kler said that Majithia had spend more than five months in Patiala Jail in false NDPS case and had not demanded even a single facility. He said that even now he has not demanded any facility. He said that all rumours are being spread by ruling AAP on alleged demands of Majithia only to defame him. He said that similar is truth about his Blood Pressure being high whereas reality is nothing of sort has happened. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should take care of his health instead.
Advocate Kler further disclosed that court has posted the matter for further hearing on July 22 and has directed Vigilance Bureau to produce full video graphic evidence of raids conducted today.
