54 IPS and PPS Officers Transferred, IPS Kuldip Singh New SSP Mohali

Mohali SSP GPS Bhullar has been transferred to Fatehgarh Sahib

Punjab Government transferred 54 IPS and PPS Officers today late evening. Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been transferred to Fatehgarh Sahib today. IPS Kuldip Singh would take charge as Mohali SSP now. Presently, Kuldip Singh is the SSP of Hoshiarpur.
Bhullar would now take charge as SSP, Fatehgarh Sahib. Bhullar is among the 11 SSPs, who have been transferred to other districts due to upcoming assembly election in the state. Bhullar, who was very popular police officer among local residents and his subordinates, had spent nearly two years in the district as SSP. This was his second term in the district as its top brass. Earlier, he had remained as SSP for over four years from September 2000 to November 2013 before his shifting to Bathinda during Lok Sabha election.
During Bhullar’s tenure, the Mohali police had busted a number of gangs of robbers, thieves and hardcore criminals. With some arrests of BSF officials, the nexus between the officials of para-military force and cross border drug peddlers was also exposed during the SSP’s tenure.
