On the first day of the festival, performances by child artists won the hearts of the people

Patiala 29 June:
North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) in collaboration with Natak Wala organizing 23rd Summer Theatre festival in the memory of Dr. Prem Parkash Dhaliwal – a great scholar of Hindi, Punjabi & Sanskrit, from June 27 to 29, 2025 at Kalidasa Auditorium, Virsa Vihar Kendra, Patiala. On the inaugural day of the festival, Gidda, Bhangra and two children’s plays “Andher Nagri Chaupat Raja” and “Kuzbak Raja Teen Dacoit” prepared during the summer workshops organized by NZCC were performed. Gidda was prepared by Ms. Sarabjit Kaur Bagga, Bhangra was prepared by Gurdarshan Singh (Tony) and the play was prepared by Ms. Kavita Sharma.

Everyone present in the auditorium enjoyed the energetic performances of the children. Dr. Swaraj Singh was the chief guest on this occasion. Padamshri Pran Sabharwal, renowned thetare personality, Parents of the children and others expressed their heartfelt gratitude to NZCC Director Mr. M Furqan Khan and his team for organizing such an event. Director Mohammad Furqan Khan thanked everyone for making the program a success and said that NZCC will continue to organize such events in future as well.
