Punjab School Education Board Launches Annual Tree Plantation Drive

Board Chairman Leads Green Initiative by Planting Trees on eve of Annual Plantation Drive

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, July 10, 2025:
To protect the environment and promote greenery, the Punjab School Education Board planted saplings. On this occasion, board officials launched this plantation drive by planting saplings at the Pseb head office, residential complex, Adarsh Schools and regional offices. Under this campaign, the goal is to plant a total of 100 saplings of different varieties, including shade-giving, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants.
Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh I.A.S. (Retd.), Deputy Secretary Mr. Gurtej Singh, Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur, other officials, employees, and union representatives participated in large numbers in this green initiative. The Chairman began the campaign by planting a mango tree at the head office.
On this occasion, Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh I.A.S. (Retd.) stated that due to continuous tree cutting, the environmental balance is getting disturbed. To protect animals, birds, and human life, and to safeguard the environment, this dedicated campaign will include tree plantation every year in the head office, regional offices, and educational institutions affiliated with the board. These plants will be properly cared for so that future generations can benefit from them. Through this initiative, students will be given ownership of these plants, turning them into nature lovers along with their academic education. This tradition of planting trees will be followed every year with full dedication.
